Welcome to Kinetic Expressions Dance Academy and Companies!
After 20 wonderful years in Volusia County, we are excited to evolve our brand to not only focus on technique and core dance classes but also to establish a comprehensive dance production company for children and adults. Our Company Members must audition for the Academy and will then be selected to represent the company across four tiers: The Expressions Company, (Mini Company (ages 5-7), Junior Company (ages 8-12), Senior Company (ages 13-17)), The Impressions Competition Team,( select dancers from the Expressions Company chosen to represent KEDA at competition), and the Connections Adult Company (for KEDA alumni and dancers aged 18+.) Dancers will train together in classes covering ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, acro hip hop, and musical theater, preparing for various performances throughout the year.
At KEDA and Companies, our mission is to provide a supportive, inclusive space where dancers, children to adults can develop strong technical skills in a variety of dance styles. Through our commitment to excellence, we prepare our students for a range of performance opportunities. We celebrate the artistry, discipline, and joy of dance while inspiring and empowering dancers of all ages. KEDA and Companies fosters a nurturing, community-centered environment where passion, creativity, and exceptional technique thrive. We aim to cultivate a love for dance, providing diverse opportunities for personal growth, performance, and artistic expression that enrich our community and spark lifelong memories.

Ms. Crystal Joy Draper
Meet Crystal J. Draper, the Owner and Director of Kinetic Expressions Dance Academy! With a passion for dance that ignited at just two years old Ms. Crystal has an impressive background, graduating as a dance major from the School for Creative and Performing Arts, in Cincinnati, OH and earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Shenandoah University in Winchester,VA. For 20 incredible years, Ms. Crystal has been inspiring students at KEDA in Daytona Beach, while also showcasing her as a principal dancer with the Surfscape Contemporary Dance Theater. As the Artistic Director and choreographer for the Expressions Company, she pours her heart into every performance. committed to uplifting the community through the arts, Ms. Crystal has recently launched the Purpose Academy of Fine Arts, a K-12 private school for the arts, expanding her mission to inspire even more dancers and performers!

What We Do
The Companies at Kinetic Expressions Dance Academy offer a truly unique dance experience, unlike any other studio in our area! Our dedicated dancers, aged 5-Adult, receive comprehensive training that goes beyond standard classes and recitals, focusing on performance excellence. We bring beloved storybook and movie classics, as well as original works to life through a variety of dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, acro, and hip hop. With over 10 main-stage productions each year as well as the opportunity to compete locally, we believe in our real world, on stage collaborative environment that celebrates creativity and delivers high-quality performances for our community to enjoy.

The KEDA Expressions Company, a children's dance company branch of Kinetic Expressions Dance Academy, has been captivating audiences with main stage dance productions for the past 20 years. We specialize in showcasing a variety of dance styles, from ballet to hip hop, while incorporating elements of stage acting. Our unique approach brings beloved movie favorites to life, transforming them into enchanting performances where the story is told through dance. Join us as we inspire creativity and passion in the next generation of performers!

Refund Policy
**When you reserve a place in our programs, that space is saved for your dancer. Spaces are allotted on a first pay, first reserved basis. We may refuse other dancers into our programs, based on your reservation. For this reason we follow a NO REFUND POLICY for any program affiliated with the Academy.**
